Halo combat evolved MULTIPLAYER cd key

Hello,
i bought halo comabt evolved at best buy played it a whole lot, and then un installed it because it got boring, now i've lost cd key, but still have halo disk, ive called microsoft, i have to buy a new one, can anyone tell me a way to be able to get a free cd key for halo, that lets u play multiplayer,?? thanks, Ryan Seinzer
