Hi all

I am planning to build a Rs. 100k (INR, if thats not clear to you) Gaming rig in next 2-3 months.
My main intention will be to play games, though I would also run some programing softwares like matlab, R (FYI, it is a statistical package) etc.
This price shall include
1.CPU(best possible, not going to upgrade in next 3 years)
2. Mobo(best possible, not going to upgrade in next 3 years)
3. G-card(best possible, not going to upgrade in next 3 years)
4. Cooler ( will probably overclock CPU in future)
5. PSU (should be a good enough to give my system a long life)
6. Ram(decent,may upgrade in 1 yr)
7. Hdd(this one i have already selected -seagate barracude 7200rpm 1tb)
8. Cabinet
9. Monitor ( a decent true-hd 21 cm, IPS lcd if possible. but its not in my priority list, so I can adjust a worse build if that gives me more value for money)
10. key-board, mouse
11. headphone (not too good required, a decent one will do)

Please keep in mind that the parts should be available in India. I would prefer the following sites
1. Flipkart.com
2. Snapdeal.com
3. theitdepot.com
4. amazon.in

I have tried to be as detailed as possible. Still if you have any more query, feel free to ask

what kind of cooling are you using? are you overclocking your CPU?
I have also thought of going with 8350, though everyone is telling me to get a i7.

I'm using my old H100 Corsair water loop.....
Nah, not OC'ed it yet..... you know the kind of temps we're having here right?
I actually didn't need to OC this one.... it's fast enough
Although, my 965BE with the H5O cooler is OC'ed.... so's my 555BE with 2 cores unlocked and OC'ed... same water loop
an i7 would no doubt be a great buy..... but using it here in India at the cost it's available for and other upgrade options for later on , really make it not the best choice....
Nah, I'm more of an AMD guy, if you haven't guessed till now... :)

Great. can you please give me the detail of your configuration and a brief description of its performance? Where in India do you live? My main concern about buying 8350 is the temp. Though I too m planning to get a H100i cooler. Still I am a little unsure if it will me able to take the heat of kolkata in May june or not (unfortunately, I don't have an AC in my study)

Great build no doubt, but I m still a cabinet short. It will take another 6-7K I guess.

no probs this is a great mid tower case pretty big and simple with great airflow 2 chassis fans corsair carbide 200r You'll have to search for it because it's constantly going out of sale everywhere also if you need more money you could go for an i5 4570k instead of the 4770k they have it on snapdeal for 16k Rs
