Question Handheld gaming consoles ?

I'm looking to buy a handheld gaming device, either the SteamDeck OLED or the Legion Go which I can currently get on sale for £500. I'm leaning towards the the Legion Go for its larger, higher res display for navigating the device and 144Hz display, along with the more powerful chip.
Are there any issues anyone knows about with these devices before I pull the trigger?
I’m also hoping to maybe plug it into a dock to display to a TV and use an Xbox controller with it, Is that doable?

I’m only looking to play older titles on this such as Borderlands 2, F1 2020, Black ops 3 and some - redacted by Nintendo - etc so nothing massively demanding.

This is for use while I’m deployed overseas.

Cheers

Pick the one that suits your needs and budget the most.
More asking if anyone who owns one has any issues with the OLED steamdeck or the Go as a way of differentiating them because all I’ve got atm is the Go runs windows which I’d prefer but the steamdeck has better battery. Performance being pretty much a wash

I am aware that the Ally X and Claw 8 exist but I’m not paying £800-1000 for 5% more performance of something at £500 where the OLED and Go sit. The rest of the comparison is a bunch of generic bulletpoints which aren’t much use

It isn’t relevant to my point, a bunch of videos from around launch, skin depth “fix the battery life by turning down performance” videos and comparing it specs wise to the ally X, which is readable from a spec sheet, isn’t what I asked about. I know the spec, I know basically how they perform I’m asking about hidden quirks and annoyances people have found over a longer time using the device

If you'd actually watch the videos, you'd learn that at least one of the videos i linked, the handheld device was in use for 1 year, before the video was made.

Also, annoyances are personal preference. Something that may annoy one, may not annoy other. So, can't quite consider all the annoyances people talk about.
Moreover, manufacturing errors (quirks) are covered with warranty.
