Hands On/ Volunteer Opportunities to gain tech experience in Georgia

Basically I'm just looking for something like Free Geek from Vancouver, but in Georgia. I'm in the Lawrencville area and go to school in Alpharetta so around or in between those two places would be preferred. I found a place in Athens already called Free I.T. Athens but it's an hour away in the opposite direction from my school.

If you have any info it would be greatly appreciated. :^)

This might be something to approach local Vo-Tech, Adult Continuing Education, and/or community colleges about. They can do for class credit if organized properly.
