recently i was thinking about a new system but got confused in making the final decision.
chosing between a power mac G4 with dual 1GHz G4 ,512 MB pc 2700 memory and ATI 9000 pro or a power pc with a AMD Athlon XP 2400+ ,1GB pc 2700 memory and ATI Radeon 9700 pro. other pheripheral can be considered equal.
if any have any sugestion on which should i pick please let me know. thanks...
Btw this system will be use mainly for graphic animation and image retouching.

You should stick this in the CPU section if you want answers.

For graphics the Mac platform is god. But you do loose a lot of the flexibility of the PC.
For you, go for the mac, i don't do that much graphics myself and so i recently converted to a PC from my tusty friends at apple...

And why is it better for graphics? That's definetly not the case- in graphics you want good quality and speed. At same settings using same vid card, both mac and pc will give equal quality. The issue comes down to speed where Mac just SUCKS. It's behind the times- recent benchmarks shows fastest macs get raped by single proc pc's. mac used to be good for graphics.
