Hey,
I've tried many solutions to fix this problem, but my drive still always is at 100% for a few minutes when I boot it up, or whenever I launch an application. It takes a while before it goes back to normal and I'm worried it will fail one day because of that. I was hoping someone could give many solutions and I could try the ones I haven't tried yet. If this information can be helpful, my hard drive is 1TB big and it has 196 GB free (I know it is very full).
Thanks

How much RAM does your PC have? When PCs don't have enough RAM, they use the HDD to compensate. Hard Drive transfer data significantly slower than RAM, however, which can cause the PC to slow down. Some amount of this happening is normal, but disk usage at 100% and files loading slowly is usually a symptom of a serious RAM deficit.

Your HDD will be fine working this way, but it will age more quickly and die sooner than if this wasn't happening. Likely you will want to add more RAM to the system.

I have 12GB of ram so I dont think thats exaclty the problem, but your answer just made me remember something. About a year agor I only had 4 GB of Ram, so I went in the setting and added a custom amount of the HDD to be used as RAm, and I think I didnt remove that, it may be the issue. The problem is I sont remeber how I did. Do you know how I could go change this setting?

I was able to find it. Thanks anyways. I'm not sure if I see a difference for now
