Hi! I'm having issues with my hard disk. Every task that I need to do (copy, paste, uninstall programs, access/view files) becomes so slow that almost stop the system. I made some tests after restarting the PC to navigate between files and my disk drive is always on 100% usage, when it is below everything works fine and fast.
I already stopped the Windows Search service, already executed a chkdsk, and made some tests without any program running.

Here is a screenshot of the processes and the disk usage:

I don't have much data stored (600gb free of 750), it's an 750gb 7200rpm HDD.
I have 8gb DDR3 so I think that is not a memory problem.

Maybe it is a physical problem? Please, need some help!

Solution
Hey Michelutti. It's a bit hard to tell exactly what's causing the problem. I've managed to find a thread which hopefully has the solution for you problem as well. If not I'd recommend that you update your anti-virus program's database and make a full scan with it (it's probably take forever because of the disk usage, but it's worth the try). The problem most probably is software related rather than a hardware problem with the drive itself, but just to be on the safe side, download the manufacturer's diagnostic tool and run the tests to check out what they show.

Here's the thread I mentioned above: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/answers/id-2045646/windows-100-disk-usage.html

Hope that helps.

Solution
Ok, found a solution from another website, it's simple:
From the Windows Menu, go to Settings, then go to System and then go to Notifications and Actions. Turn off "Show Me Tips About Windows". That's it. It takes maybe a minute or two to lower the disk usage and I would recommend ending any process in task manager that's making the disk usage go up in the meantime. Usage percentage should go down and stay around 1-2%.
