I just tried to install my new 16gb ram and after a first successful launch the computer shutdown and failed to boot to windows. I tried everything from reinstalling old ram to running check disk errors on cmd. It wont let me get into safe mode or even restore from an old point. Each time windows attempts to load a blue screen flashes so quick and shuts down. The blue screen tells me to run chdsk /f but nothing appears. The error code is 0x00000078 i think. My phone is blurry when i took the photo to even see the error.

Any help please? I ran memory tests all good. Single ram stick cleared bios and still no windows.

Do you have another machine that you are able to connect this hard drive to? If so download a program called CrystalDisk and run it on the PC that you are able to connect this hard drive to. Did you change anything else while installing the RAM or did you just take out the old sticks and install new ones?

When i attempt to change the xmp profile and overclock settings the cpu goes fails to boot. Instead the power keeps turning off and on. When i cleared the bios i think i changed the storage to ide. The new ram sticks work at default but trying to get them to operate at 2133mhz on my z68 asrock extreme4 which says it works with 2133.

I have an i5 2500k with an asrock extreme4 z68. On default these sticks work and i can load windows. When i change their xmp profile to tested versions both profile 1 and 2. After saving changes and rebooting the system keeps turning on and off 3 times before it gets to a status screen where i choose to boor menu etc.

Your loading profiles that were created with your old RAM? maybe that's what's misfiring it, its dumping due to either over voltage or the wrong settings for the RAM and create a new profile for the new sticks

When i installed the new sticks it showed 2 other profiles. These were not from my old sticks. Its at 1333mhz default and the 2 options given on its xmp profile dont load the computer.

Okay at default then its running at 1333mhz, it will run faster if needed but base clock is 1333mhz and will run upto 2133mhz, Overclocking ram just means that it will run at 2133mhz+ all the time which majority of the time isn't needed atall
