Hello,

I have a Fujitsu AH530.
I am trying to reinstall windows 7
There's an issue here, My HDD is detected by bios but not when installing windows.
Its a phoenix award bios

Sorry
Its a phoenix SecureCore Setup utility bios

How to do it ?

Entering the Fujitsu AH530 BIOS Setup Utility.

1. Turn on or restart your notebook.
2. Press [F2] once the Fujitsu logo appears on the
screen. This will open the main menu of the BIOS
Setup Utility with the current settings displayed.
3. Under Advanced Menu set AHCI Configuration: [Disabled]

Hope that helps.

I tried what you said and reinstall windows,
Still no drives were found :s

Could you please provide more additional information of what are the current settings you have under the System and Advance menu of your laptop's BIOS.

Legacy USB support : Enabled

Serial ATA Controller : Enabled
AHCI configuration : Disabled

Multi-core : Enabled
HT Technology : Enabled
Visualization Technology : Disabled

Wake up on LAN : Disabled

Fan control : Silent

Its not like an error.
It is when it comes to format and create partitions.
It says no drives were found.
Its like no hard disk is being detected.

Noope
You think the hard disk is gone ?

I can't really say that your hard drive is screwed because as you've said the system BIOS is able to detect the drive but the Windows installation wizard is unable to find it. Best thing for you to proceed is to connect your drive to another system to see whether it is still be usable. If you will find out that it is still healthy then maybe you could try to use another legitimate copy of your windows installation disk.
