Hard Drive 700-somehting Bad sectors

i have a maxtor hard drive that came out of a pentium 1 workstation. i tested it on superfdisk and it has 700-something bad sectors (that was yesterday, i cant remember the exact number). well, anyway, should i just throw it away or can i magically repair the bad sectors by software means or something?
