Hey guys pls help me i have asus p5gl-mx motheboard and i will buy hard drive western digital 500gb caviar green but I do not know if they are compatible.thanks in advance

They are; there's nothing special with a Caviar Green drive and it's way below the 2.2 TB limit.

That 300 MB/s drive is backward compatible, but you may have to set OPT1 to drop the transfer speed to SATA I (150 MB/s).

You're buying a used drive. The picture is poor, but you can see the 1.5Gb/s configuration. A jumper on pins 5-6 is required; just make sure the seller includes it if you don't already have one.

Yes at 1.5Gb/s; possibly at 3Gb/s. Test it without enabling OPT1 and if it doesn't work, then set OPT1. It really is that simple.
