Solution Wayfall Oct 10, 2017 -Do you have that data backed up anywhere? -Have you tested the drive on another system or plugged it into a DVD player to see if it shows up and can activate a file? -You can try scanning the drive in question for faults: https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/2641432/check-your-hard-disk-for-errors-in-windows-7 This works the same on OS's after Windows 7. -Also try and scan the drive in question for viruses or other malarious program: http://www.tomsguide.com/faq/id-2379985/removing-virus-external-hard-drive.html
