Hello.

Recently I bought a SATA to USB [strike]conversor[/strike] converter cable, thinking about using it to make my old HD to behave as an external hard drive.

My issue with it is: I know that my HD isn't dead, as I can use it just fine if I put it in my primary sata slot, but when I try to use it through the conversor, it does get recongnized by windows but I can't access it whatsoever. It keeps giving me "invalid parameters". I read a little bit about similar problems in the internet, and while trying to figure it out I ran chkdsk, to be returned that cmd took it as a RAW storage, altough I can use it normally if I insert at the sata slot (currently holding my SSD).
Also, it is really, really slow. To show up the disk, after plugged in, to return me the error messages, and even to eject the device.
Any help?

Appreciate it, in advance.

Which means that the adapter that I got probably wouldn't work anyways with my HDD, right?
Regardless, I already gave up on it and bought a caddy adapter.
Thanks for the attention!
