Hard Drive isn't initialized

Hello,
My Seagate external USB drive disappeared. Here what I get in disk management when I try to initialize it :

Is it possible to save the drive and/or the data (ideally both ?)

CRC (Cyclic Redundancy Check) error generally indicated a physically failed drive.

This is when you replace it, and recover your data from the backup.

Thank you for your answer. That would make a lot of sense. When I plugged it in my computer, it made a clicking noise that went away after a while. Funny thing, my OS can't boot properly if the hard drive is plugged in. Same problem on another computer. The problem seems to go away if I unplug it. I tried using a Y cable to give more power to the hard drive, but I have the same result.

Is this a 2.5" or 3.5" external drive?
A 3.5" drive cannot run from USB only. Y cable or otherwise.
A 3.5" requires both 5v and 12v. USB cannot supply that.

If it is a 2.5" HDD or SSD, it's dead.

A desktop hard drive. (The power supply is plug in, of course). Pretty sure it is dead.
