So I've been having a lot of trouble with my computer lately. First I got an unbearable virus then my friend gave me a "pirated" (I say that because that's just what somebody told me and I don't belive it.) windows 10 os upgrade from windows 7. Then after a couple days the computer became slower than a sloth, then I got advice from here saying hard drive problem so I bought a new one and now I'm getting errors in my bios screen. (Would this have anything to do with me accidentally creating a raid and then deleting it with these disks?) the error I'm getting is "disk read error occurred".

Hi there lolimstupid,

Well, disk read error could be caused by a faulty connection or drive.
So, you should attach the drive with both different SATA and power cables to another SATA port.
Is the drive recognized by BIOS?
Do you have another computer, so you can be absolutely sure if there's something wrong with the drive? If the issue persists over there, you can just RMA it.

Let me know how this goes,

Hey I did try using different cables and it's not that, when I put in another drive I ripped out of a laptop it recognized both, but when I take it out it won't recognize it? Anyway I don't have a way to install windows now because my motherboard doesn't support USB boots.

Btw what is/ how do I RMA
