Hard drive issues, cant download anything.

My pc is a few months old and my new hard drive that i just bought about a month ago isnt working correctly. It doesnt give me an option to create a new file or erase any old ones. I can use the files though. I thought that it might have been a damaged SATA cable, but i replaced it to no avail. I tried checking the drive for errors but the menu just closes after a few minutes. Now my other hard drive is acting weird. So maybe its my motherboards sata connectors? Im not sure.

I can assure you it's not the SATA connectors. It's probably some issue with windows not granting 100% access, like some system files are read-only. Sadly I can't help you more since i don't know anything about this stuff

Ok thanks for helping a little bit. Let me know if you find out something. I cant find the solution anywhere on the internet.
