Hard drive on the back of pc

Is it ok to put the hard drive on the back of the pc next to the back panel with little ventilation?

I strapped my HDD with zip ties onto chassy of case on diy pc. It will get a bit hotter per usual, but with little ventilation it should help.

is this an old case and you ran out of drive bays to put your drive?? if you did they make brackets to mount hard drives to 120mm fans. to keep them cool. heat will kill hard drives. if the drive under 50c then it should be fine.

It's a new case. It's a Corsair Carbide 270R mid tower. It has vertical mounts and no regular mounts. https://imgur.com/a/rYZbONW

Yeah I might just keep it as is because there are holes where ventilation can enter.

This case is different , as the drives mount vertically on the solder side of the motherboard pan. two 3.5 bays in front , and two 2.5 on the back of the motherboard pan.
