Question Hard drive or graphic card?

Disclaimer: not very knowledgeable about computers just average but my desktop pc comes on power wise but it doesn’t “boot” up meaning the sound isn’t the same and nothing appears on monitor. My first thought was graphic card. It it has 2 (I think it has 2 ports for) and I tried both. I changed cord. I tried on different monitor. I’m now kinda lost. I get a green light on pc at card reader but my cd drive won’t open manually which is weird. No light on front of pc but I don’t remember if there is one. I bought used and don’t even know what kind it is no stickers on front.

Repair shop is probably your best bet, if the unit is new enough to be worthwhile for the cost of doing so.

What side of Atlanta are you on?

edit- if this were just the hard drive the boot/splash screen would come up and then you would get a message about selecting boot device. IMO this is going to be a power supply problem, maybe graphics card or other hardware.

With out knowing more details at the very least un plug from the wall. Hold down the power button for 20 seconds . Plug it back i and test.

Was computer working before.

Check the Microcenter in Duluth or Marietta for troubleshooting prices. Looks like you might be smack dab in the middle of both of those locations.

IDK if you have done anything about this yet, or plan to. I live in S Atl and if you were comfortable with it, feel free to shoot me a PM and I can provide a number to text some pics of the rig to and see if I can figure out any details on the hardware.
