Hey guys, I was trying to upgrade my computer today and accidentally used my old PSU cables with my new PSU. When the hdd was plugged in this resulted in the computer starting for half a second and then shutting down. After realizing I was using the wrong cable and changing to the right one I am now stuck in the bios because my sata ports on my x470 aorus aren’t detecting anything. I’m not hearing my hdd start up at all. Should I get a new one?

Now I know what you mean. You have modular power supplies. Yeah.... Not a good idea to mix cables. At first I was like it's not even possible to use the wrong cable, they're notched. Probably fried the hdd.
