Hard drive problem

Hi there, i have a problem with my pc especially with the hard drive so for example i bought a new hard drive i did buy a new motherboard aswell but the problem is that my hard drive is not showing up in bios i mean it is showing up but then it isnt i cant install my windows to the hard drive because it says that no drivers were found whats the problem the hard drive is clean, brand new and is not detected on my pc....

What OS are you trying to install?

Windows7 does not include AHCI drives for newer motherboards; therefore, you need to load them during the install to be able to see the HDD.

check to see if your mb has two sata chipset like intel; and asmedia. if there two chipset make sure your on port 0 of the intel chipset and sata ports in bios set to achi mode.

I am trying to install windows 7 i tried this port 0 still the same thing it didnt help im just confues because if i bring this hard drive to my brothers pc everything is okay i can even install the windows is just my pc thats
