Hey guys! So I'm completely stumped here. I want to get a 4 or 5tb hard drive to add to my gaming PC, what's a good one? I would like a 7200RPM drive, and the reason I'm going so big is because I'm most likely going to partition it and run software off of it. Recommendations? It's cyber monday, and I'm hoping to get a fair deal on one! Thanks!

Hello there! Thanks for the recommendations! I'm really liking the price on that 5tb drive...... Would this hold up well with gaming and be decently quick to store large files?

Either one would be.

The difference between them is the Constellation is an Enterprise level drive rated for 24/7/365 constant use while the other one is a desktop drive.

I think the Desktop drive would be perfect! Large size and the price is good! I plan to use it in a Desktop anyways. This thing gets shutdown every night anyways. Thanks!

I did some research, and came across people saying that Windows won't recognize over 2TB of data. Is this true? Is it an issue with the file system rather?

Yes it will no issues.

Windows 10 right?

Over 2TB you have to format using GPT instead of MBR and it will take as large a HD as you can buy.

Cool thanks! I don't have a uefi motherboard apparently, so would I just have to partition it into 2tb parts or use exFAT instead of NTFS?

Thanks for all your help! I got in touch with support for a partitioning software and was told that I could use it as storage but not as a bootable OS drive with my board. Thanks for all your help! Much appreciated! 😀
