hard drive space is getting diminished

my hard drive space is getting diminished day by day, but I am not installing any thing at all. when I uninstall any software this space getting lesser. this space is getting full specifically when I am connected to internet...2,3,4gb each time. I have turned off update of my windows & software as much as possible. the last thing i can do is to format my drive. before that i need some last suggestions...please help.

It might merely be temporary internet files, but, more likely, it sounds like your computer has caught a bug and is being used to store some files from some malicious third party. Get a good virus program. Look here for reviews and choose one: http://www.tomsguide.com/us/best-antivirus,review-2588.html. After installation run a full scan of your computer.

I would advise you to adjust your Restore Point settings.

If the issue persist after you've tried these, you can run some anti malware scans as well.
