Hard Drive storage overload Win 8.1

Hi Folks, I have an Acer Predator 3620-UR318. Bought it new and was pre-loaded with Win 8 but ended up unwittingly stuck with 8.1 and can't get rid of it so now have lost some features. I think I'll have a few questions to come on the forum but right now I'm having a major problem with disk space. This desktop has a C: drive SSD of 128GB and a D: drive of 2TB. I'm in dire need of trying to figure out how to set the D: drive up as the main drive or something because the SSD has only a paltry few GBs left and it's sputtering where I have a nice 1.5TB still empty and happy to be used. It's been a few years since I've been under the hood so to speak...but I'm ready to tweak 😉 Can someone help with the info or a solve or two?

Hmm.this one I can answer. Mount the drive under windows management tools like so. I usually do B: for this example for backup. But you ca n do whatever you want

After that, make another 2 folders in your B drive (for this example) to stimulate the windows file system. Program Files and documents. Inside documents make videos and pictures and stuff you want to organize. Then, add these as libraries in your file system. I would re-install any programs on the new mounted path as well... Because I have a 128SSD and I never go below 40GB free.. And I download a lot. Also.. Ccleaner is your friend. Use it.

Then he can use something else. I actually checked my system build and I used the V: drive. Besides, windows usually goes ahead and takes control of it and re-mounts it on another drive if it does notice that it is being used. (D drive was used once for a virtual mount and it went to E:) Still though if you have doubts, listen to his advice.

This lady loves any help she can get. I haven't built or programmed one in YEARS! Okay I have the D drive full of goodies now so will that affect it and transferred all of the C drive over to the D driver earlier while my internet was out at least all I could except the page and hibfile stuff in use.Figured I could throw the rest over when I could rename drive if I can do it......storms here in MO just went through and glad to be back online. Now I have I think most of the files already over to the D already partitioned drive. I'm having a brain fart and forgot how to mount this boogie...or have I had didn't know it? Sorry folks I have done so many things on this I've confused myself a little. I have all my folders loaded up.
