So heres my situation, I play a lot of games. I am constantly recording all of my gameplay with my friends to build a collection of memories etc. Recording this much takes up a lot of space. I've filled up a 2 terabyte external. I need a cheap, big hard drive (internal or external) that I can have as my go-to to buy whenever I need more space for recording. What are your suggestions? Thanks.

Hi there Mythstatic,

As a WD representative, I can suggest you Western Digital drives. This is why, it may be a good idea to wait for some more suggestions. :)

Apart from that, you can take a look at WD Blue: http://products.wdc.com/support/kb.ashx?id=EM1nN2
It is a nice drive that comes with up to 6 TB of storage space.

Generally speaking, internals tend to be more reliable than externals, due to the following reasons:
- You don't move them around. Almost no chance of dropping those.
- You will not face problems related to the enclosure/USB port.
So, if you don't really need a portable drive, you can consider getting an internal drive.

Keep in mind that mechanical drives could just fail. You should always back up your most important data.

Edit: Kind of late. 😀 You can consider faalin's suggestions as well.

Cheers,
D_Know_WD :)
