So i've put windows 8 pro on my computer and occasionally it will use an crazy amount of memory or a crazy amount of hard drive for no apparent reason. It does not do it all the time.. perhaps its some task.. i just dont know; any help would be very much appreciated.

I've updated windows.
I've ran avast - clean
I've ran malwarebytes - clean
I've got a Standard hard drive not solid state.

It seems that ''Service host'' in task manger is the one thats using my juice. in fact there's often multiple instances of this task working. with names like:

Service host: local service (network restricted) (7)

My specs are as follows:

i5 3670k not oc yet
msi r9 280x gaming ed
Msi G45 gaming mother board
8g of corsair vengeance single stick
750 psu

I have browsed the sticky.

Thank you for any help you may be able to give me.

Ok thanks. Ive just downloaded HD tune pro

Its got a bad sector - warning
spin retry count - warning

its a sata 3g per/s with an average speed of 76mb
