Hello,
I am looking for a replacement HD for my IOMEGA desktop backup storage unit. The hd id is:HITACHI Deskstar, mod HDS722512VLAT20, ATA/IDE, 7200rpm, p/n: 08K0463, mfg 3/2004, and installed in IOMEGA enclosure by IOMEGA, inc.

do you want to replace it with the same size drive?

if you are thinking about a larger size drive, check if IOMEGA made backup storage units of that type with higher capacity.

if this was the highest capacity drive it came with, there might be a chance that the enclosure will not support a bigger drive.

the largest capacity IDE drives available is 320 GB or you might find a 500GB
