My PC will experience a hard freeze when I reactivate the monitors, usually after overnight. I have my system set to not have my devices sleep, and the monitors to shutoff after 3 hours. I can tell the freeze occurs at that moment because of the time displayed.
The PC then requires a hard shutdown. Complicating matters is upon reboot, I will get a red light boot error on the motherboard and it will fail to boot. I will have to force another shutdown an restart - after 2-5 tries of doing this the PC will then boot normally - or occasionally give me a screen acknowledging the boot error and ask if I want to load optimized BIOS setting/go into BIOS etc..
This has been happening occasionally since I bought the PC last year (maybe once every 7-10 days), but is now increasing in frequency to almost daily. Any other manually induced shutdown or restarts occur normally - the boot error only occurs after the issue above. I have installed the latest drivers for the video card etc. to no change. I typically leave my system on all the time.
Any advice as to what may be causing this or how to fix would be appreciated.
