Hardware For Dedicated Server

Hello Tom'sHardware community!

I want to begin hosting a dedicated server for Team Fortress 2, but I don't know what hardware I should choose. I want to keep component expenses as low as possible, because I am working on a budget of $120. I was originally thinking of buying older prebuilt computers and then upgrading the RAM,CPU,etc.

I'm thinking an Athlon 5350 with 8GB of RAM and a SSD. Cheap and power efficient.

I'm looking to host one at home so I can work with it hands-on.

You can usually modify anything you want on the rented ones and have to worry about a lot less, like a static ip address from session to session. It's choice that's all.
