[SOLVED] Hardware for running cyber punk

I have a gtx 1060 and a i5 6600k. The gameplay is pretty choppy even in medium settings. I was curious if I could just get away with upgrading my GPU to rtx 2070 and keeping my CPU the same as I have now. Would I be able to smoothly run high graphics with a setup like that? Also would it be fine with my Corsair RM650X PSU?

16gb 2666 MHZ DDR4 and yes I use primarily solid state drives

This is showing 36 FPS 1080p medium settings for a 1060. Looks all the 10 series cards struggle.

Would maybe like to suggest while you still have the 1060 you might be able to find the tuning video to help optimize game settings. For games I play they very demanding even on new pc. But notice that certain settings can tank performance while others have not much impact and can turn up. Notice this much in RDR2 where lighting at nite is beautiful amazing and reflections are the insane maybe best of all games but they really demanding settings. Can't run these at ultra yet but didn't have to turn them down a lot. There was a nice level for these so comprimised.

Lower textures to minimum as its what needs the most VRAM and you're severely limited on that front.

Watched video and game is demanding. Not so sure I could play it either. 😢
