Hi, strange one here. I have 4 1tb drives configured in RAID 5 hardware mode. Im confused as xp isn't seeing the volume in disk management but it sees the volume in device manager. Any thoeries people?
Ps. The volume is accessible in other OS (eg win10, linux)

Solution

Window XP 32 bit only supports MBR partition, meaning it can only access up to 2TB, beyond 2TB there is nothing you can do except move to XP-46 or later version of Windows
Xp running from a smaller drive and all chipset drivers are installed. Intel rapid storage utility sees the volume so i have told the utility to initialise the drive to see if it picks up after that, if not, i will drop a disk from the raid and use it as an os backup drive and to store the files i dont want to lose at all.

Thanks HEXiT. I figured it out before I reviewed this answer.
I ended up setting up a RAID volume of 2TB and another using the last of the space on the RAID 5 - giving me the 2TB and a separate 786MB drive that both sit on the 1 RAID set. It works a treat!
