Question Has anyone gotten RDR2 to work on Windows 11 yet?

I am trying to get RDR2 to run on my new laptop with Windows 11.

Ill click launch, it takes about 30 seconds for a window to pop up . It's a small black window that immeriately closes and then Rockstar launcher will say quitting and then revert back to play.

I've tried working with Rockstar support but they almost bricked my laptop via clean boot.

Does anyone have any fixes?

Then at least make the attempt to recreate a clean boot, disable and close anything non standard, like things that display your FPS or monitor temps or usage, in general everything that doesn't come with standard windows.

It's probably their anti-cheat/anti-tamper having an issue with something you have running.

I'd make sure your firewall isn't blocking any rockstar related processes like social club etc.

You'll never believe this. Before bed yesterday I downloaded RDR2 in an attempt to get it to work today.

I also factory reset my computer yesterday after the rockstar support issue. This morning I clicked on launch and I got a large black screen that soon filled up with writing and the rockstar logo. Managed to tweak settings and run a benchmark - Everything ultra in 4k and I average 62fps.

Alright, update time.

I got home about 30 minutes ago and opened up RDR2. The button at the title screen that selected story mode was greyed out and unclickable. I closed the app, tried to boot it again and it was the small black screen that crashes.

I've tried a clean boot, making a exception under both anti-virus and firewall and it's still crashing on startup.

On my wits end at this point.

do other games work ok? are you launching via steam or direct from rockstar?
rdr2 runs better on linux so you could always try that if you don't get anywhere.

Direct from Rockstar games launcher. All other games work ok
