Has anyone used a DP to DIV-D adapter for 120hz?

I have this monitor:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824001474

I'm thinking about buying this adapter:

http://store.nvidia.com/store/nvidia/en_US/pd/productID.227587600?resid=Tzb-UQoBAlcAAG1943kAAAAl&rests=1329004369118

I need it because I only have 2x Displayports available and I need 3x monitors to be running at 120hz to use NVIDIA surround for 2D (correct me if I'm wrong on that).

My friend loaned me an Accell brand DP to DVI adapter but my monitor didn't recognize it and he told me that sometimes it cuts out for him and he has to re-connect it.

I'll clarify, I have 2x GTX580 cards and between them I only have 2x DISPLAYPORTS. So in order to have 3 monitors running at 120hz my only option is one of these converters.

Are you saying that the GTX 580's only have the display ports availible? As in there is no DVI at all? Most DVI ports built into graphics cards these days are dual link DVI. What GTX 580 is it exactly?

The problem is the Monitors don't come with a DVI connection which leaves only the DP as the only option for 120hz gaming.

ah ok
the concerter you linked to is meant to be used from DP on the card to dvi on the monitor, your monitors dont have dvi... not sure if dvi to dp converters are available...

edit btw whats wrong with the price on newegg, it's showing as $9,999.99 that cant be right?

bystander is correct. The monitor I have has HDMI and DP, hdmi is out. The vid cards I have are these here:

About the price on that monitor I have no idea, I bought one from Fry's 3 months ago for $599. Newegg has had them as low as $499 but for the past week its either been deactivated or that odd $9,999 price.

well it looks like you're out of luck... There arent any dvi-to-dp converters, nor dp mst hubs available yet. (AFAIK)
3rd card might be needed, but dunno if it will work like that either. I dont have any personal experience with nvidia multicard setups...
Or you could get a monitor that accepts dl-dvi.. not ideal solution either...
