Has my CPU gone Weak?

So my build is 8gbs of ram an amd A10 5800k and an r9 270. I used to be able to play gta V just fine at high settings and average about 35 fps and I whet back to play it and now I am getting like 20 fps and in farcry primal the longer I play it fezzes for like a second or two alot. so I ran MSI afterburner and on gtav I am runing a stedy 100% cpu usage on all cores and came to the conclusion that on farcry primal that the freezes are when I hit 100% usage on my cpu. I took it apart and I have the stock cooler on my cpu with the pre applied thermal paist and there was little on there but my temps never ran over 55 degrees celcuos and the weird part is, is that games like BO3 and BF3 run the same

So what is the problem and what do I do, Has my cpu gone weak or is it getting hot and it lowers its own power to cool down? thanks

Hardware does not get slower over time. Software does. Some common causes:

1) Crapware, malware, viruses, bloatware are all using resources and bogging down your system.
2) Illegal OS, which comes with crapware of its own which could cause such issues.
3) Driver problems with latest drivers.

I'd say it gets too hot and the safety kicks in lowering CPU power to cool it down.

Maybe try downloading "Core Temp" , keep it open and do your normal gaming. I'd highly advise saving up for an aftermarket heatsink and DEFINITELY put new paste on.

His temps were never over 55, so that clearly is not the problem.

Hi, CPU's don't generally get weaker over time. Check to make sure there is nothing else running in the background also run a virus scan on your machine.

If it's annoying you that badly back everything up and then re-install windows.
