Has my HDD died?

I was just watching a video on my 2TB HDD when it suddenly froze. After that I restarted the pc on my 500GB Windows 10 partition and now the 2TB HDD isn't recognized anymore on My Computer. But when I go on to Disk Management a message immediately appears saying I must initialize the 2TB drive so Windows can recognize it or something like that, but when I click on OK(WIth MBR selected instead of GPT mode), an error message says "The system cannot find the file specified".

So, is my 2TB drive really dead? Is there anything I can do now to make it work again?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hello, actually I swapped the sata cable with the one from the DVD Reader and it's working normally now. It seems like it was the sata cable that was bad, the one from the DVD Read/Writer is new whereas the one that was on the 2TB HDD is a lot older.

Thank you for your reply!
