Question Hashsum question ?

If I create two identical projects in mkvgui, with identical settings. Would their hashsum would be identica? Or hashsum is unique for every file? I did similar stuff, hashsum from 1st is mismatch for 2nd.

Muxing two file’s, exactly same settings and bytes size - hashsum of the original muxing of the same file’s is different

If original file is ok? No worries? Checked original mux, everything match

If you create two separate files, even using the same tool and settings, they will NOT match. There are things internal to the file, that you do not have access to that are not the same between the files (time/date as an example) and therefore will generate a completely different signature. This is how chksums work.

Use a hex editor (eg HxD freeware) to compare both files.
