[SOLVED] Have i been 'hacked'?

Recently on Discord there was a message (not copypasta) that said that anyone who downloaded from one specific site has been hacked and i was one of them. Now, they also said that there's a pretty low chance my BIOS is affected and my PC is probably spied. I used antivirus scans and all it detected was the programs i downloaded from the specific site and some other. Also, i made system restore point and i know how was it to be hacked like someone controlling your PC before. Now, i'm wondering if there's any way to figure out how to find out if i was hacked or spied on?
Also, my friend with Windows 10 got affected so i'm wondering if Windows 7 & 10 fixes are the same.

First thing, if you are getting stuff from shady sites like cracked programs, then yes assume your system has a virus. If you are worried about it even though an A/V scan did not come up with stuff, then only thing you can do is go around changing your passwords for anything you use, and do a clean Windows setup on your computer.
