Hello, kind people from Tom's Hardware. I have a small question. Also, excuse me for a possible lack of information, since this happened a relatively long time ago.
I was going through MSI Afterburner, checking things around, and I decided to overclock my graphics card ( It was R7 240, made by MSI, clocked at 780 Core Clock/ 900 Memory Clock ). Both Voltages and Power offset were untouched. I decided to try overlocking my memory, so I pulled the meter to about 1000Mhz from 900, and instantly, I got an artifact mess on my computer screen, with green shapes on the whole screen, with my GPU "freezing" for a couple of seconds. Later, my graphics driver recovered, and seemingly everything ran fine. I think that my GPU didn't get that hot, and that my Power Supply had wattage for my overclock. I noticed a problem with certain titles which might not be connected to the GPU, so I tested the GPU in Kombustor ( the old one built in Afterburner, with the logo ), and of course, I updated my drivers, and even got a 1FPS improvement. I couldn't feel much stuttering. Now, have I done something bad for my GPU and is there a way I damaged it?
