First of all I'll give my system specs which I built on 9/23/14 :

Case: Corsair Carbide 300r PSU: Rosewill Capstone 750W MB: Asus M5A99FX PRO R2.0 CPU: AMD BOX AMD FX-8320 BLACK ED CPU cooler: Coolermaster HYPER 212 EVO memory: GSkill Ripjaws Z Series 8GB DDR3 2400 GPU: Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Gaming OS and games drive: Crucial 512GB 2.5 MX100 SSD media drive: WD Red NAS Hard Drive WD30EFRX keyboard: Logitech G510s keyboard: mouse: Logitech "plain jane" usb mouse sound: Logitech G430 cans display: Samsung px2370 display

So...I just replaced the water-logged mobo with the same BUT I started thinking that it may be time to upgrade rather than spending $140 on what is an outdated mobo.

So my question is should I return the mobo and consider upgrading to either an A10 or I7 mobo and processor? I must admit I could use some guidance when it comes to the new CPU's. My current system I put together for around $650 (not including the GPU which was $345)

Any and all input and suggestion would be appreciated.

if the leak was a water cooler leak if there covering the parts go for newer skylake. if the money out of your pocket go with a haswell z97 mb and i5/i7 cpu. you be able to reuse the ram and cooler and other parts in the old build so it not to costly to you.

First of all thanks for responding and your suggestions. The damaged was done by me being STUPID!

I can afford to go with a new mobo//processor with ddr4 ram so reusing the ram is not a major concern. I AM looking @ the I5 6600K and will stick with the G Skill (just going with the DDR4 Ripjaws). I don't really need a fancy $300 mobo. I'm just looking for a really good value mobo to maximize the OC capabilities of the I5 6600. Also looking for a really good quality air cooling solution for the CPU. Again any and all suggestion are much appreciated.
