Have Several Issues

I am working on this gateway MC8741

The client says he installed a hot spot and it starting not working right? Have no idea what he did but it looks like it has windows vista installed new but its missing everything. When I boot it I get a 2 icons Administrator and Other user I click on admin it says your account has been disabled,

when I click other user I get a blank log in screen with no user name. Client says he never had this before and has no user name or pw.

So when I boot to safe mode, nothing works I click on control panel nothing no programs, nothing. I have never seen this before. I tried re install but I guess its not a 64 bit system and it wont install. I dont have a 32 bit handy right now.


Any ideas to what I should do?

deleted system 32 or a virus you might have to wipe the hard drive.

If you mean the MX8741, it should install a 64 bit OS just fine, although you'll have to make sure from Gateway that they have 64 bit drivers.
You can also just get the restore disks from Gateway.
Hopefully you backed up the files before you started messing with things.
