[SOLVED] Have to press restart to get my pc to boot

For a few weeks now my pc won't start on first boot I've been having to hit the restart button sometimes once sometimes 4 or 5 times. Today I crashed from a game twice on the trot then it wouldn't restart at all. My mem test light is staying on I've tried taking the ram out and get the usual beeps re inserting and pressing the mem reset button to no avail please help. My specs are

I5 3570
Asus p8z77-m
R9 270x
Kingston 120gb ssd (boot drive)
Wd Blue 500gb
Evga 550w psu

What is the exact model of your EVGA PSU and how old is it? Are you on the latest BIOS update for your motherboard? If your PC isn't booting up at all, you can try and remove the discrete GPU and try powering up.

It's a coolermaster master 600w sorry the evga was my original psu this one is around 4 years old model number is rs-600-acaa-b1 tried removing gpu and still the same
