Hey there,
I bought a GTX 970 last month, this one specifically: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814500362
Since I installed the GPU, I've had a very weird problem that I've been dealing with. Every few days, the computer will not power on UNLESS I remove dual 6 pin power connectors and plug in a different set (luckily this psu has a few 6 pin connectors) and then the computer will power on. I'm completely stumped and haven't had any luck finding any similar situations posted on other forums. This makes no logical sense to me, and I can't seem to figure out what the issue is. I'm running a MSI 970a-g46/amd fx 8350 and a 750w platinum certified PSU (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371074). Before I got this card I was running a GTX 660 and never experience this issue at all.
Does anyone have any ideas as to what the problem could be? I'm tempted to think there may be a problem with the GPU itself since the wattage from my psu is more than enough and I never saw this happen with the 660.
Thanks!
