Hi
So I haven't built a pc in 7 years and I guess it's time for an upgrade to win 11. Currently on windows 10 amd fx-8350 chip gigabyte 990fxa-ud5 r5 Motherboard 24g ddr3 ram. I'm looking at the Ryzen 7 5000g chip. What would be a good Motherboard to pair with it? I don't game anymore just email download music and movies etc. I'd stay as is but I don't know how long my av will continue with win 10
Thanks for any help
Amber

If you’re not gaming you might just pick up a used Dell office pc that supports windows 11 and upgrade it.

If you’re building, maybe just grab a case, ryzen 5700g cpu, 32gb ram and whatever size nvme ssd you like etc. On the motherboard grab a b550 series board. You could look at b450 boards but be sure to grab one with bios flashback in case of any issues.

Funny was looking at the B550M aorus elite MB.
I have 4 wd sata hard drives and one has 2 partitions, one c for os and one d is for programs. Do I have to get a new ssd for the os? My power supply i think is either 500 or 600 w. Don't remember. But it's old so ill replace. I have a tower case I like for all these drives (one for music, one for books and one for movies and videos) but some fans need to be replaced.
I guess it's could get a nas for the drives but didn't want to spend $$$
Thanks

You could use your hard drives and save $40 but there is a night and day difference in using a computer equipped with an SSD in terms of speed and reponsiveness such that I wouldn't recommend it.
