Today, I built my first computer with these specs:
AMD fx 8350
Sapphire Radeon HD7950 OC
Gigabyte 990fxa-ud3 Motherboard
Corsair vengeance 8GB (4X2)
Thermaltake SMARTM850W PSU

and during my startup of my external build, I noticed that there was no gigabyte MOBO splash screen but all the fans and the graphics card was working.
I then continued on with the build until I finished and was trying to load an OS via my optical drive (windows 7 ultimate) but again, the monitor failed to show me the gigabyte flash screen (monitor is LG 23EA63) so i couldn't set the bios so it could boot from the optical drive. The monitor failed to show me nothing at all except a 'DVI-D signal not detected. Switching to power saving mode'.
I noticed that there were some monitor drivers on a CD to be installed but since I can't change the bios to boot up, how can I install that. Is it really a problem with the drivers or is it a defective part since everything looked like it worked fine during the test boots.
Please help me with this problem, I really don'y know what to do!
(Firstly I installed my graphics card on the PCI express X16 slot and then tried it on the next slot down (X1?))
