Having issues with USB wifi adapter, think it might be a hardware issue

For more than a month, I was having network issues, dns problems that would be a constant rate, they didn't go away, they even persisted when I went to a completely different house with a different router and different ISP, but the problem only seemed to get worse there.
When I got back home, the internet literally would cease to work, I could get connection for maybe 30 seconds to a minute before I got dns_probe_finished_no_internet literally everytime, I retained my connection to Skype.

For awhile now, I would deal with it. When the internet cut out, I would just wait for it to fix itself, and it would. I could deal with this somewhat because if I loaded a video, I could watch the whole thing without it actually cutting out, or my game connectivity cutting out, so I could just ignore it for the most part. But it's gotten worse
.
Anyway, when I came home, the issue was so bad I couldn't troubleshoot it. I decided to do a last resort and just plug the wifi adapter into a different USB port, and it worked. The problem ceased to exist and I could use the internet without problems for about 2 days; until today.
It cut out and was giving me issues again, I plugged it into another port for it to just work again. Eventually, after a couple hours, it cut out again. I heard the sound of my USB disconnecting and reconnecting, the sound it makes in windows, the difference here was not a DNS error, but my internet completely cutting out and reconnecting, resuming as normal. Just a few minutes ago, it disconnected again, only to not reconnect. I plugged my mouse into a different port and plugged my wifi adapter into that port, it's working as normal again. I don't know how long it will last, and want to fix it right now. I'm sick of dealing with this.

A few things to note:

-I know this might belong in networking, but because this has to do with my USB ports I thought I put it here instead
-The USB disconnecting and reconnecting only happens with a singular port and didn't have anything to do with my internet suddenly stop working the first time I fixed it after I got home
-Switching ports seems to fix the problem temporarily
-When it stopped working the first time, I would get DNS_PROBE_STARTED and FINISHED_NXDOMAIN. I switched to GoogleDNS (8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4) and it fixed it for a short time, I had to switch USB ports again to fix this.
-No, I can't use wired, it's impossible. Please don't suggest it, if I could just use wired I would do that
-These problems popped up at random, it started with my first wifi adapter and just err_name_not_resolved and progressed into a bigger problem even after I got another wifi adapter.
-Everytime I seem to switch ports, my devices name changes to (Blah blah USB Wireless LAN)#3,4 and 5
-During the DNS errors I was getting, I also seemed to get a red X on my internet icon even though I was connected, and when I did ipconfig release or renew, I would get "Cannot perform action when Blah blah connection 5 is not active) or something like that
-When it was disconnecting and reconnecting, I turned off power management, it still happened

Please, I would like to finally be free of this endless problem

Let`s just get away from the usb wi-fi adapter for the moment.
First of all tell us the brand of laptop you are using, and its model number.

Did or does the laptop in question also have its own internal wi-fi adapter.
Because it may be the one of the causes as to why the Usb adapter keeps dropping it`s connection.
Also could you list the brand name of the usb wi-fi adapter and it`s model number.

You will find the model number of your laptop on the underside on a sticker in most cases.

I'm using a desktop lol
It was more of a casual trip to my families, so I was able to bring my desktop.

First thing I'd do is open up Device Manager and see if there are any unknown devices on the USB. You CAN mess up the USB in this way...even something as simple as not ejecting a flash drive. And it actually does sound like it might be a messed-up USB setup.

Are you using Bluetooth for anything, and/or a wireless keyboard or mouse? If so, and if you're using 2.4 GHz wifi, you might be seeing a conflict, as both use the same frequency. If they're in close proximity, they can interfere. One fix can simply be to get them separated by a few feet.

How about a PCI wireless card? If you have a slot available, this might be a good thing to check. My older PC, built as a TVPC (had a cable tuner in it), has issues with its USB, I think...not as regularly as yours, tho...so it can be something there. A PCI card isn't expensive. Another option might be power line networking.

Finally, wifi routers can be the issue themselves. That's actually not uncommon, going through reviews. Best way to check this would be if it's showing up on some other device. I think my prior router went bad, for example, because I was having issues like you had, on 5 separate devices (tablets and computers).

No bluetooth
I'm a few rooms away from the router
There was a Microsoft Wifi Miniport thing on my wifi adapter, I disabled it, I'll check back in if anything happens
Don't think it's either routers, I'm the only person that had problems on both routers, all other devices worked fine

Yeah, the routers are cleared. Just to clarify...wired keyboard and mouse? Because the wireless receivers use the same frequency. On the assumption that you are using wired key/mouse, then I'd try the PCI wireless next.

[quotemsg=16262761,0,764133]PCI wireless == a wireless network card that you'll slide into a free PCI slot, rather than the USB[/quotemsg]
I don't think I even have a PCI slot, the tower I hastily got at my Uncles computer store when my friend gave me a GPU he had so I didn't have to use integrated graphics, it was a prebuilt Gateway, so we had to transfer everything to the other tower, I don't see a PCI slot

Interesting thing happened.
My internet wasn't working again, and I wasn't sure how another USB switch would do
I went to (Device) > Properties > Advanced > Country Region (2.4GHz) and changed the value from #0 (1-11) to #1 (1-13) and the internet went back to normal
EDIT: It was being slow, cut out, I changed it back to #0 and it went back to normal again..

Another thing happened
It seemed when I used a USB port and it eventually failed, I couldn't use it reliably anymore
I was running low on options, so I started messing around with other things, and I when I looked at this, it confused me

Everything was on, LAN was enabled but no X, I disabled everything but the wifi network, reenabled and it all works again, it's not slow and despite the yellow explanation mark, it works perfectly fine.
Also another thing that I think is worth mentioning, whenever the internet is disconnected, I don't get a red X, I instead just get a an Ethernet icon with the yellow explanation mark/limited access icon on it, at all times (if my adapter is disconnected)

OK, yeah, that didn't look right. The Local Area Connection with the red X is fine; that's for the wired connection and you don't have anything plugged in. That Hamachi isn't something I remember...but a little googling gives this:

http://community.logmein.com/t5/Hamachi/CAN-T-disable-Hamachi-adapter-in-Windows-7-Reconnects/td-p/112791

I see that Hamachi is VPN software; is this something you expect/use?

Oh my god, this may be it
A long time ago, I planned on playing Diablo 2 with a friend(s) so I set up a Hamachi server and planned on playing with him. I remember Diablo 2 wouldn't recognize Hamachi unless you put the adapter at the top for priority, I'll see to this right away, and I'll report back.
EDIT: Well it wasn't at the top in advanced settings, but Wireless Connection 6 was at the top, my wifi adapter is #5 (in this USB port) I don't know what this will do

I think what you did earlier may have dropped the Hamachi down so it stopped being a problem. If you're not using it, I'd probably just yank the Hamachi, unless you have a paid version. Sounds like you don't need it, and the web page suggested it *can* cause problems like this. Certainly, I do recall the additional adapter when I was using a VPN for working from home.

I disabled it from startup and I'm gonna disable whatever I need to in the program itself, I'll report back because the internet in the past would work for a bit before causing problems again
What I don't understand is why one singular USB port was causing DNS problems while all other ones are causing other problems instead and how come the DNS issues would fix themselves all the time
EDIT: Connection just dropped for about 10 seconds, I lost connection to Skype but retained connection to Steam which is odd because it's usually the other way around
EDIT2: Just did the thing where the USB port disconnects and reconnects, with the sounds and all
EDIT3: Connection will still drop and I'll get:
ERR_QUIC_PROTOCOL_ERROR
EDIT FOUR:
Losing my patience, I turned off all power management options, the USB root hub, the device itself, It'll still disconnect. The connection will drop constantly, no matter the USB port I use. I can't use a goddamn wired connection and the problem won't go anywhere, and it is seemingly UNDIAGONSABLE
