Having Problems with PSU

Okay so i have this problem were i have this built and i mostly have problems running some games. I mean its supose to do the job on some games like Metal Gear Solid 5, Rocket League, CS:GO and Dying Light and well sometimes it doesnt use the full power it needs. I recently have been having problems with the Power Supply and it sometimes doesnt even boot and i know its a Power Supply Problem. I ordered a EVGA Supernova G2 550w PSU to replace my Corsair CX500w PSU cause its faulty and its not doing the performance I need. So what im asking is, is there another thing thats wrong? Cause i ordered the PSU, will it make some changes, giving more power to the components and having a better performance? Or is it one of my other PC parts? Please help i have doubts. Heres my specs:

GPU: MSI 7950 TwinFroz 3gb
CPU: i5 3470
RAM: 8gb Corsai
PSU: Corsair 500w (Broken) soon to be a EVGA Supernova G2 550W
SSD: 120gb
HHD: 1TB
MOBO: MSI Z77A-G45

Considering the CX500 is known for failing and poor performance , install the high quality G2 and see what happens.

You won't know till you install the great PSU.

Install it , run it for awhile , that's the only way you will know.

You will know shortly after installing.
