having trouble viewing downloaded vidoes

for some reason I cannot watch some videos ive downloaded. In particular i mean this one http://media.xbox360.ign.com/media/902/902590/vids_1.html the call of duty 4 hd trailer. I can hear the sound but no video when i play it in winamp,divx,windows media player 11. Im not sure whats wrong.

well now no video will play lol this kind of sucks.. I uninstalled it though.

ok listen you need to uninstall any codecs that you have, so check your add remove programs to be sure to uninstall any other codecs.

this time install the klite mega codec pack and reboot pc

well i cant even install the full version of it because i get an error saying its corrupted or some crap so i'll just install the standard.

you rebooted pc also? if yes then your browser is not recognizing the codecs right

i downloaded the file and am trying to play it on my computer(not on the internet). When streaming it through the internet it works perfectly.....

I see, you sure the file is ok, have you tried playing it with videolan?

none of my video files will play. Some used to work until I downloaded this program and now none work at all.

that makes no sense what so ever, you files need codecs to play the mega codec pack has codecs for all the files you can imagine.


did it work with the regular klite codec pack before the full?

just to make sure there are 2 kinds of klite codec pack

mega klite codec plack

and

klite codec pack full/standard/basic

now you say after installing the mega one nothing is working so I'm wondering if it worked when I asked you to install the full pack

yes again you never want 2 codec packs on your system so uninstall all codec pack then install mega and reboot pc and lets see.

btw just fyi the full pack has been fixed 😉 but you want mega right now
