Having trouble with computer

My laptop is not loading windows after windows logo. After trying to install windows again it says there are drivers missing, so I can't proceed with the windows installation.

Error: Load driver

A required cd/dvd drive device is missing. If you have a driver floppy disk, cd, dvd, or usb flash drive, please insert now.

Steps I've tried

-Reset bios
-System image
-system restore
-repair disk nothing comes back
-safe mode not loading


Any ideas? I'm lost here.

Make and model of the laptop please. My laptop used to need a HDD driver during Windows installation back when it was running Vista. Could be something similar.

Your error reads like hardware error. It tells you to insert drive not driver. Open your lap top on a back (after you disconnect the batteries) and see if your DVD got dislocated. It has to be sitting in a slot correctly. You can also find out how to make bootable USB drive.

I've tried bootable USB samething as dvd.

Toshiba L650.

There are several different versions. There should be a number after the L650 that is 6 or 7 digits, starting with ST2, ST3 or BT2
