Hd 5850 on windows xp

hey guys i just want to know if the hd 5850 would work on windows xp home edition service pack 3? i know its old but i see no need for windows 7 yet as dx11 is pointless and i still love xp. would the hd 5850 also be used to its full potential on xp? i just want to run todays games maxed out, no dx11 crap. thanks

Sure it will work dx9, and you can use it later with win7 dx11. No reason to change to 7 for 3 more years.
