HD 6990 Problem

I have a HD 6990, I got from friend of mine, When I install it and turn on the PC a bunch of green squares appear on the screen, also occurs and even worse in games.

I have also an gt 220 and when you put it does not occur any problem. I wonder if the HD 6990 has no concert.

Looks like artifacts, and the card is probably dying.
