I recently got an hd 7750 from my brother. The gpu works when plugged in but its in the enlarged bad resolution because I cannot install the latest amd drivers. I have used Guru 3D Display Driver Uninstaller to remove all intel & amd drivers but the moment I install the drivers needed for the hd 7750. I get the blue windows error screen: VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE and occasionally something else. (previously I had a gtx 660 and it worked perfectly fine with my computer no problems with the drivers at all)

Specs:
Cpu: amd phenom II X4 9500
Ram: 6gb ddr2
Gpu: Hd 7750
Psu: 550w coolermaster
Operating system: Win 10, 64 bit
HP Pavilion a6614f

Solution
Download drivers from HERE.
Head over to your C:\ drive and go to the "AMD" folder and delete whatever drivers package folders are there so it is an empty folder. Then run the drivers package you downloaded from my link.

Afterwards if the driver installer runs exit it and head over to

control panel > device manager

then go to

Display Adapters

and right click on the GPU and select

Update Driver Software

then select

Browse My Computer For Driver Software

then select

Let Me Pick From A List Of Device Drivers

then select

Have Disk

then change the A:\ to C:\ and select

Browse

then go to the AMD folder and keep going in until you get to the drivers folder and pick the one that has the number 86 in it and...
Are you downloading drivers from : http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/AMD-Radeon-7000-Series-Drivers.aspx

HD 7750 uses legacy drivers which are made to match every card prior to a certain model, so they aren't made to match that card specifically

Can you download and run who crashed - it will give us a glimpse of the errors you getting and might help us solve them

Copy/paste summary in here and I see what I can do :)
though good chance we know what caused the TDR error.

Thank you for the reply :)
and yes that is where I obtained the drivers for the hd 7750

Conclusion
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3 crash dumps have been found and analyzed. A third party driver has been identified to be causing system crashes on your computer. It is strongly suggested that you check for updates for these drivers on their company websites. Click on the links below to search with Google for updates for these drivers:

atikmpag.sys (AMD multi-vendor Miniport Driver, Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.)

If no updates for these drivers are available, try searching with Google on the names of these drivers in combination with the errors that have been reported for these drivers. Include the brand and model name of your computer as well in the query. This often yields interesting results from discussions on the web by users who have been experiencing similar problems.

Read the topic general suggestions for troubleshooting system crashes for more information.

Note that it's not always possible to state with certainty whether a reported driver is responsible for crashing your system or that the root cause is in another module. Nonetheless it's suggested you look for updates for the products that these drivers belong to and regularly visit Windows update or enable automatic updates for Windows. In case a piece of malfunctioning hardware is causing trouble, a search with Google on the bug check errors together with the model name and brand of your computer may help you investigate this further.

See if any of the first 3 methods here help - Step 3 isn't going to work unless you swap AMD drivers for intel since you have an AMD system - don't do step 4 as they just pushing their own products, and driver updaters often choose wrong drivers and can make problems worse: https://www.drivereasy.com/knowledge/fixed-video_tdr_failure-bsod-error-windows-10/

first error occurred 7 days before the others, was it related to GPU? What it blames is in fact windows so its not overly helpful.
Can you follow option one here: http://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/5560-bsod-minidump-configure-create-windows-10-a.html
and then do this step below: Small memory dumps - Have Windows Create a Small Memory Dump (Minidump) on BSOD

that creates a file in c/windows/minidump
copy that file to documents
upload the copy from documents to a cloud server and share the link here and someone with right software to read them will help you fix it :)

then go to the AMD folder and keep going in until you get to the drivers folder and pick the one that has the number 86 in it and open that folder then select the OPEN button on the window and then from there continue to manually select the newly added drivers from the list in previous window and install them. Then go into the AMD folder and run the catalyst manager installer by right clicking and selecting

Run As Administrator and continue with the install.

If you get an error from the install manager about something not going through all the way close it and make it run in compatibility mode for windows 8 and run as administrator again.

Everything should go smoothly then. If so restart PC when complete and you should be able to change resolutions and open the Catalyst Control Center and be able to have advanced options for you GPU as well.
